About The Buendia Post
One writes to make sense of the world, to navigate its complexity, to manage uncertainty, to make into a story a life that resists form. Writing is an attempt to polish an old coin that has lost luster and relief. Fiction and non-fiction are two sides of the same coin.
I write reflections, instant memoirs, journalistic chronicles, personal essays, bookish observations, fiction. I write in English and Spanish. I experience and think about the world in both languages.
My perspective is that of a Venezuelan-American who has now lived in Los Angeles longer that he ever lived in Caracas.
Aquí se escribe en inglés y en español.
